Angèle Dubeau & La Pietà, Ludovico Einaudi: 1 Million Streams! A Success on Music Streaming Services and Still #1 on the Canadian Classical Chart!

Montreal, April 27 2015 – Seven weeks after the launch of her latest album Ludovico Einaudi: Portrait, violinist Angèle Dubeau still finds herself at the top of Soundscan’s classical music sales charts in Canada. Today, the album reached an impressive international 1 million streams on music streaming services such as Spotify, Rdio, Deezer, etc. The works in the violinist’s discography have been streamed over 12 million times to this day, a rare feat for a Quebec artist.

Since its release, Ludovico Einaudi: Portrait has been an international best seller on the iTunes classical chart, including in Belgium, Canada, United-States, Italia, Mexico, United Kingdom, Russia, Singapore, etc.

For her 39th album, the violinist offers a unique revisit of Ludovico Einaudi’s music, “changing its texture, rethinking its character, while bringing a new sonic dimension.”

According to Soundscan, Angèle Dubeau is the classical violinist who sold the most albums in North America in 2014. Her albums represent nearly 10% of all the classical music sales in Canada.

The world premiere of the concert Portrait: Ludovico Einaudi will take place at Maison Symphonique de Montréal on November 13, 2015. Tickets are currently on sale at Place des Arts.
