Pianist Ian Hobson to Perform Ten Recitals at Dicapo Opera Theatre
Internationally noted pianist and conductor Ian Hobson will perform ten recitals in a series devoted to the solo piano music of Chopin and Schumann and their antecedents as well as later composers who formed their musical legacy, including compositions by Bach, Beethoven, Weber, Moscheles, Szymanowski, Scriabin, and many others. Piano expert, teacher, and radio personality David Dubal will be on hand for each recital to provide commentary on the evening's program.
All ten recitals, which begin at 8pm, will be presented at the Dicapo Opera Theatre, 184 East 76th Street in Manhattan, between Lexington and Third Avenues, on August 24, 26, 31; September 2; October 25, 28; November 8, 11, 15, and 18.
