Early Music at Saint Peter’s concert series will present Solo and Continuo Duets for Viol and Cello, featuring Viola da Gamba virtuoso Lisa Terry and renowned Baroque cellist Angela Yeung on Tuesday, June 8 – 8:00 PM at Saint Peter’s Church at Citicorp Center, 619 Lexington Avenue at E. 54th Street in Manhattan.
This concert program will feature music by Domenico Gabrielli (1659-1690), David Mell (? - 1662), Michel Corrette (1707-1795) and Johann Friedrich Ruhe (1699-1776) and will present an array of duets from the 17th and 18th centuries for the bass viol and cello, with no extra continuo instrument accompanying. Selections include duets by Italian, English and French composers from the baroque and pre-classical eras, with a final piece by the German composer Johann Friedrich Ruhe. Apart from individual compositional styles, these duets provide a glimpse of different national characters that arose in the course of the baroque period, and beyond.
Tickets at the door only: $20, $12 for students and seniors. For more information, call 212-935-2200 or visit http://www.saintpeters.org/.

She teaches at the French-American School of Music and at workshops across the country.
