Chamber Players International May 2 Musical Cuisine Concert

Chamber Players International’s Musical Cuisine series will present the fifth concert and brunch of its 2009-2010 season, celebrating the bicentennial of Frederic Chopin on Sunday, May 2 at 12 noon at the DeSeversky Conference Center on the campus of New York Institute of Technology, Northern Boulevard in Old Westbury, New York.

This program, celebrating 200 years of the music of the Polish master, will feature Chopin’s Piano Trio, Polonaise Brillante and Sonata No.2 for piano. Chamber Players International performers will be New York Philharmonic violinist Anna Rabinova, with cellist Natalia Khoma and pianist Volodymyr Vynnytsky.

The program begins with a champagne brunch buffet at 12 noon followed by the concert at 1:30 PM. Admission is $60 per person with group rates available. For reservations (required) and information, contact Chamber Players International toll-free at 877-444-4488.

Anna Rabinova was the winner of the Bach International Competition in Leipzig, Germany, and was awarded first prize at the 16th International Competition in Belgrade. As winner of the 1993 Concerto Competition at The Juilliard School, she performed Shostakovich’s Concerto No. 1, with Stanislav Skrowaczewski conducting. Natalia Khoma and Volodymyr Vynnytsky were both born in Lviv, Ukraine and studied at the prestigious Moscow Conservatory. Both are International Competitions winners and each has a distinguished career as a soloist, recitalist and chamber musician, and has appeared individually and as a duo with major orchestras and premier chamber music series through the United States and Europe.
