Argentinean Pianist Agustin Muriago In Concert on April 14

New York – Argentinean pianist Agustin Muriago will be in concert on Wednesday, April 14 - 6:00 PM at the Consulate General of Argentina, 12 West 56th Street in Manhattan. This concert will be presented by the Consulate General. Mr. Muriago will perform a program of compositions by the great classical masters.

Agustín Muriago graduated from the “Manuel de Falla” Conservatory of Music with a degree in Piano Teaching and Performance, and from the Catholic University of Argentina where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Composition. He studied piano under the guidance of Marcela Fiorillo and Aldo Antognazzi. He was selected in the Teachers del Norte-Pianists del Sur auditions, organized by pianist Mirian Conti and sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Argentina, which allowed him to travel to the U.S. during February and March of 2009 to study with Dr. Douglas Humpherys (Eastman School of Music) and to perform at Steinway Hall in New York City. He received a full scholarship from Rowan Univesity in New Jersey, where he is currently continuing his piano studies under with Professor Veda Zuponcic.
