Opera Ireland on the Classictic Portal

January 19, 2010 | By Karen Hunter
Artistic Manager
Classictic.com announces the addition of Opera Ireland, Ireland’s National Opera Company, to the Classictic international portal for classical music ticket purchase.

Established in 1941, Opera Ireland is the country's longest established opera company currently presenting four fully staged operas per year in The Gaiety Theatre, Dublin and on occasion touring these productions regionally and internationally.

In winter and spring of 2010 the company will present five staged performances of Charles Gounod's Roméo et Juliette (Feb 27, Mar 1, 3, 5 and a matinee performance on 7 March) and two concert performances of Bellini's I Capuleti e i Montecchi (Mar 4 and 6). The two settings offer wonderful opportunity for reflection on this timeless and tragic tale. Tickets to Opera Ireland performances can be found on the Classictic Portal at http://www.classictic.com/OPI. ‘Opera Ireland is one of the most dynamic opera companies in the British Isles'. Opéra Magazine 2009. Don’t miss it!
