Readers may select About Us to understand the relevance of this non-profit project.
Inspired by the success of Classical Voice of North Carolina that has operated for almost a decade, following CVNC's inspiration from San Francisco Classical Voice, the New England website is off to a slow and steady start under the professional leadership of Marvin J. Ward, Executive Editor. Dr. Ward has been donating a lion's share of the material posted, at quarter time pay, expecting that CVNewEng would grow enough to pay the editor at least a half time salary, hopefully full time.
Periodically, the Metropolitan Opera announces that it will have to close without an injection of money and they have succeeded in reviving support year after year.
By the same token, is important that supporters of classical music respond to the needs of classical music reporters: critics and announcements of classical music events. CVNewEng has archived material from the area since its going online in September 2007, following its inception in Kennebunk, ME, in March 2006.
The contact info of the Treasurer is: John F. Daamen 108 Summer Street Kennebunk, ME 04043 The president since December resignation of Kathleen Grammer is Mary Elizabeth Nordstrom of Kennebunk.

The treasury balance is under $1,000. and CVNewEng operates precariously month to month. Readers are urged to help according to ability to give.
