TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA, March 20, 2019. -- Canadian Tenor, YC Lee is thrilled to release Solo Dowland Project: Studio Recordings, Part 2 of his 3rd series of digital recordings for streaming and download. (His first series was #SoloMessiahProject Parts 1, 2 & 3; followed by his second series #SoloRecitalDebut Parts 1 & 2).

During spring/summer 2018, YC Lee and pianists Mario Ostrowski and Ann Sublett collaborated in an artistic collaboration of Elizabethan Art Songs by John Dowland (1563-1626), some of which were performed during a live concert on July 22, 2018 in Hamilton, ON. Solo Dowland project: Studio Recordings, Pt 2 features 10 Dowland songs completely self-produced by YC, samples of which can be heard on YouTube Music. YC Lee also has music media available for preview from SoundCloud and Vimeo.
Solo Dowland Project: Studio Recordings, Pt 2, reveals YC's polished authentic Italian bel canto technique elegantly complemented with both Mario's and Ann's skillful sense of pianistic touch and rhythmic sensibilities. In his WordPress Blog, YC writes “My moments of musical discovery whilst pursuing the essence of John Dowland, have been tinged with poignancy because of the death of Peter Longworth who was an indelible figure in Ann's life and she recently shared with me that since his passing, there have been times when his succenct reminders have popped up into her thoughts. In fact since his passing, she has remained a steadfast rock of strength and pragmatism amidst all of life's tribulations. Earlier this morning I thought about all the roads “less traveled” that i have taken; and likewise I wondered to myself about how difficult a journey it has been for Ann to rebuild her life from many setbacks; and yet to this day she has an indomitable spirit of life; a “joie de vivre” that is infectious. Besides resoring my faith in humanity, Ann Sublett simply leads by example”.
ABOUT YC LEE: Based in Toronto, Canadian Tenor YC Lee has worked with Tapestry New Opera Works, Opera Hamilton, Opera bel canto of York, Summer Opera Lyric Theatre, Opera Buffa and Opera Anonymous amongst others. Awards include Gold Medal from the Royal Conservatory of Music (Performer's Associate Diploma SINGING). His mentors are Lawrence Pitchko and David Varjabed.
