Debuts in the US and France part of Tara Erraught’s 2019 winter/spring season

February 1, 2019 | By Grant Communications

Following a fall 2018 that included her acclaimed company debut with the Welsh National Opera singing the role of Angelina in La Cenerentola in an eight-city tour of the United Kingdom and recital debuts on the UK’s Oxford Lieder Festival and Sir Arthur Bliss International Song Series, mezzo-soprano Tara Erraught continues to expand her relationships in the United States and France. Beginning in February, following performances of her first Italian Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni with Staatsoper Berlin, Ms. Erraught makes debuts with three US orchestras: with the Indianapolis Symphony, she sings Mahler’s Ruckert Lieder; with Milwaukee Symphony in March, Brahms’ A German Requiem; and in May she closes the Savannah Philharmonic’s 10th anniversary season singing in Mahler’s Symphony No. 2, “Resurrection.” In April, she makes her debut with the Orchestre National de Lyon in France, singing in Bach’s St. Matthew Passion.

Spring engagements also include the Deutsche Oper am Rein Aids Gala 2019 in Dusseldorf, Germany, a return to Ireland’s National Concert Hall International Concert Series in recital, and joining the Wiener Staatsoper on their Don Giovanni tour in Germany. Upcoming summer engagements include a debut with the UK’s Holkham Hall Chamber Music Concert Series, her debut with Argentina's Orquesta Filarmonica de Buenos Aires and a return to Austria’s Schubertiade Schwarzenberg.
