DaPonte String Quartet Summer Concerts
If you are looking to add a little exotic flavor to your palate this week, the DaPonte String Quartet’s first concert series of the summer will do just that.
The Quartet has cooked up a “Summer Goulash” concert series. It adds a dash of Hungarian spice to a program that also features a sunny Brahms and a classic Haydn.
It will be performed in eight different locales in July - from Portland to Eastport.
This summer for the first time, the Quartet will be performing in the Boothbay Harbor Opera House as well as their regular venues in Brunswick, Portland, South Bristol, and Rockport. After doing “Summer Goulash” in the mid-coast, they will take it on tour Downeast to Machias, Eastport and Surry.
