Artist Manager

SONUS INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL will present its first virtual festival celebrating the life and work of beloved Argentine composer Carlos Guastavino (1912-2000) on the twentieth anniversary of his death. The festival’s seven programs will feature performances by acclaimed musicians from around the world, a live-streamed panel, and lively interviews every day from October 22 to October 28, 2020. All programs will be streamed online at 8:00 pm EDT (New York) / 9:00 pm (Buenos Aires) through the Festival’s Facebook page and YouTube channel, via the Sonus Festival website. Find details about each night’s program at www.sonusinternationalmusicfestival.org and the Sonus International Music Festival Facebook page. Archived festival programs may be viewed on the Sonus website and YouTube channel.

Sponsored by the Latin American Music Center at the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music, Drama, and Art, at The Catholic University of America - the seven-day festival is presented under the artistic direction of its Founder, Pianist Nancy Roldán, who met the composer, wrote about his work, and has dedicated her professional life to the diffusion of his music.

The festival was inspired by the creation of SONUS, a collective of international artists dedicated to the diffusion of Carlos Gustavino’s music and to the endorsement and presentations of creative endeavors rooted in the universal spirit of folk traditions, including music by Latin American and American composers. We created this festival with the goal of expanding awareness to the US and a larger world audience of this important composer’s music and legacy.

For details, please visit the Sonus Festival website (https://www.sonusinternationalmusicfestival.org/). All programs are free. For questions, please contact Nancy Roldán at nancy.sonus88@yahoo.com
