Applications Open for Adelphi Orchestra Young Artist Competition

ADELPHI ORCHESTRA Fourteen Annual Young Artist Competition

 

Applications are now open for the 14th  Annual Adelphi Orchestra Young Artist  Competition – Finalist play in a recital on April 21 2018 in New York City at the National Opera Center.

Open to Strings and winds of any nationality up to age 23. The 2018  first place winner performs with the Adelphi Orchestra during the 2018-19 Season. Prizes will be awarded in each category on April 21st. Deadline for Video Round is February 1 2018. .

Previous winners include:  Xiaoxuan Shi, Nathan Meltzer,Ari Boutris, Ming Nga Cheung, Dylan Wu ,Anton Rist, Brieuc Vourch, Jennifer Choi, Lindy Tsai,Ethan Siegel,Philo Lee, Christina Hughes  Applications to be received by: February 1 2018.

About Adelphi Orchestra

The Adelphi Orchestra is a professional, non-profit orchestra performing symphonic, chamber, operatic and dance concerts. For the past 14 years, the Adelphi Orchestra has sponsored a Young Artist Competition and Young Artist Concerts throughout New Jersey and the New York metropolitan area. The Adelphi Orchestra presents concerts with accomplished national and international guest soloists and distinguished conductors. Nominated by its peers for the 2016 & 2017 Jersey Arts People's Choice Award in the Favorite Orchestra/Symphony Division, the Adelphi Orchestra is a member of the League of Orchestras. It is northern New Jersey's longest continuously performing orchestra and a member of the New Jersey cultural community for 64 years.
