New York, New York (November 1, 2025) – The Wagner Society of New York is pleased to announce a recital by the winners of the 2025 Wagner Society Singers Competition, Saturday Evening, December 13, 7:00 PM in Victor Borge Hall at Scandinavia House. Sadie Cheslak, mezzo-soprano, winner of the Robert Lauch Memorial Fund Award, Alec Carlson, tenor, winner of the Ursula Springer Memorial Endowment Fund Award, along with collaborative pianist Mitchell Cirker, will perform works by Saint-Saëns, Wagner, Mahler, and Bizet.
WSNY Board Member and co-Chair of the Singers’ Committee Cori Ellison said: “The mission of the WSNY's Singers Committee is to identify and support the finest emerging Wagnerian vocal talent, so we're pleased to present mezzo-soprano Sadie Cheslak and tenor Alec Carlson, our gifted 2025 first and second place winners. We hope to see them following in the successful footsteps of past winners."
