The move doubles the Russian\u2019s tenure, to encompass the seasons 2020\u201325. No salary was disclosed, as usual, but past reports have shown \u20ac800,000 as an annual figure.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mphil.de\/personen\/matthias-ambrosius.html\">Matthias Ambrosius<\/a>, spokesman for the musicians, and clarinetist, noted in writing that the \u201cvast majority\u201d of MPhil players had wanted to lengthen the collaboration with Gergiev. Nonetheless it is widely understood that the managers\u2019 request stemmed from a desire to ease dislocation of the orchestra in 2020, when a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicalamerica.com\/mablogs\/?p=27258\">massive project to reconfigure its Gasteig home<\/a> begins.
