Communicating with Your Audience
During Edna’s 23 years as managing director of IMG Artists, she personally looked after the career of violinist, Itzhak Perlman and launched the careers of musicians such as pianists Evgeny Kissin and Lang Lang, violinist Hilary Hahn, and conductors Franz Welser-Mõst and Alan Gilbert.
Edna believes young musicians can grow their own careers, with “hard work, blind faith, passion for the cause, incessant networking and a vision that refuse[s] to be tarnished by naysayers.”

Taras Kulish Returns to MCO as Executive Director
McGill Chamber Orchestra (MCO) Board Chair Sharon Azrieli and Artistic Director Boris Brott are pleased to announce that Taras Kulish will be returning to the orchestra in the role of Executive Director, effective March 26th.
Kulish successfully led the MCO from 2013 to 2016. In January 2016, he left Montreal to take on the role of Director of Artistic Operations for Calgary Opera, becoming Interim Artistic Director in his second year with the company.
"It is a very joyous moment for me to return to my hometown and its vibrant arts scene. It’s also an honor to be back at the McGill Chamber Orchestra working alongside our esteemed maestro Boris Brott,” comments Kulish, “I look forward to continuing to build this jewel of an orchestra in close collaboration with its Board of Directors and loyal audience.”
Boris Brott comments, “We are delighted to welcome Taras back to our orchestra family and look forward to continuing the success we achieved under his leadership. I would also like to warmly thank Marc-Antoine d’Aragon who has led the orchestra with energy and passion for the last year and a half. We look forward to continuing the projects he initiated for the orchestra.”
Founded in 1939 by composer and conductor Alexander Brott and cellist and general manager Lotte Brott, the MCO (McGill Chamber Orchestra) is one of Canada's most established ensembles. Since 2000, the MCO has been under the Artistic Direction of conductor Boris Brott, one of Canada’s most internationally renowned conductors. The orchestra is a vibrant ensemble consisting of some of the best professional musicians in Montreal and presents concerts throughout the year in the city’s finest halls.
The MCO will celebrate its 80th Anniversary in the 2019/2020 season.
