LA Phil Musician Creates 'The Centennial Pen'
For Immediate Release
LA PHIL MUSICIAN CREATES "THE CENTENNIAL PEN"
Hand Carved Collectible will commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra
Los Angeles, California- July 12, 2018
Jack Cousin, Double Bassist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and a Fine Art Woodworker, has custom designed and handcrafted this collector's item for the orchestra's 100 year celebration.
The Centennial Pen is composed of reclaimed wood from the Hollywood Bowl box seats and the Walt Disney Concert Hall stage.
Incorporating these extraordinary woods that have absorbed the music of the orchestra for generations, transforms this keepsake into one of exceptional significance, offering the owner a unique piece of Los Angeles cultural history.
The Centennial Pen, a Cross writing instrument, is hand engraved with the wording "LA Phil-100 Years" and housed in a string instrument pen box.
Jack Cousin, one of the longest standing members of the LA Phil, is entering his 45th season, having performed with the orchestra for almost half of its hundred year history.
For music lovers, collectors, and fans of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Centennial Pen honors a century of brilliant and beautiful music making.
