Pianist/actor David Beck will play live his own compositions along with selections by Bach, Vivaldi and Mozart, to accompany the play "Moving Bodies" by Lorraine Liscio. The play takes place in Paris 1740, the Age of Enlightenment, and centers around Emilie, the Marquise du Chatelet, lover of Voltaire and a distinguished scientist. When Emilie corrects a mistake made by Newton in a letter to the Journal of Science, the Secretary strikes back: "Your female condition is the source of your illusions." But Emilie was right; Newton got it wrong. Defiant, excessive and real, Emilie fought for love and for her place as one of the world's greatest scientists but, as a woman, she was never allowed to have both.

Turner continued his musical path contributing to the deconstructed panoramic soundscapes of Mamiffer, the misanthropic crowd-baiting sludge of Old Man Gloom, the exploratory electrical whirr of House Of Low Culture, and a slew of studio projects running the gamut from slow-crawling minimalist pop (Jodis), to fiery d-beat punk (Split Cranium).
