Palisades Virtuosi Presents PV Goes to the Opera! on October 7 at Unitarian Society of Ridgewood, in Ridgewood, New Jersey

Bogota, NJ - The Palisades Virtuosi flute, clarinet and piano trio presents their season-opening PV Goes to the Opera! concert on Saturday October 7 at 8:00 PM (with a pre-concert talk at 7:15) at the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood, 113 Cottage Place in Ridgewood, NJ.
The program includes Songs of the Laurel Tree, a newly commissioned work for mezzo soprano, flute, clarinet and piano by Dr. Thomas Juneau (http://www.thomasjuneau.com/html/), and selections from Mozart's The Magic Flute for trio, Chopin’s Variations on a Theme by Rossini (from La Cenerentola), the Flower Duet from Lakme by Delibes and other works by Verdi & Puccini. Guest Artist will be Metropolitan Opera mezzo-soprano Barbara Dever (http://www.northernlightsmusic.org/barbara-dever/).

The Palisades Virtuosi, consisting of flutist Margaret Swinchoski, clarinetist Donald Mokrynski and pianist Ron Levy, is a 501 (c)(3) organization established to promote and enrich the repertoire for flute, clarinet and piano and present concerts that include existing and newly-commissioned repertoire for this configuration (each of their concerts includes a work commissioned by the ensemble), supplemented by solos, duos and larger works featuring guest artists.
