Eastman Young Artists Piano Competition Winner Brian Le in New York City Debut – Ninth 5 @ 5 at DiMenna Solo Piano Performance on October 10

Eastman Young Artists Piano Competition Winner Brian Le will be in concert on Saturday, October 10 at 5:00 PM, making his New York City debut as the ninth program of 5 @ 5 at DiMenna, a solo piano performance series curated by Mirian Conti, at The DiMenna Center for Classical Music, 450 West 37th Street in Manhattan.

Le will perform music by Rachmaninoff, Beethoven, Schumann, Bartok, Chopin, Ravel and Prokofiev.

17 year-old Brian Le, from Silver Springs, Maryland was First Prize winner of the 2015 Eastman School of Music Piano Competition. Previously, Le won first prize in the Ylda Novik Memorial Concerto Competition, in the 27th International Young Artist Piano Competition, and in the 2014 Music Teachers National Association Senior Piano Duet Competition. He received second prize in the 2014 International Institutes for Young Musicians International Piano Competition and the Lee University International Piano Competition. He has performed with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Charleston Symphony Orchestra and the Wintergreen Orchestra and presented solo recitals in such venues as the Kennedy Center Concert Hall and Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, Carnegie Hall's Weill Hall, Swarthout Recital Hall at the University of Kansas, and the Alden Theatre in McLean, Va. He studies with Nancy O’Neill Breth.

5 @ 5 at DiMenna recital programs feature world-class international pianists exploring an array of solo piano works from the last 400 years. Other 2015 dates and programs are:

October 24 - Lisa Yui - Dussek, Franck, Debussy, Mussorgsky
