August 3, 2015 | By John W. Freeman
Program and Publicity
The Queler/Farber Family Trio have performed at the Newport Folk Festival, Joe’s Pub and on the HBO Rosie O’Donnell special A Family Is a Family Is a Family. The theater piece Still Will Be Heard, based on their song cycle The Edna Project, was commissioned and produced by Peak Performances at Montclair State University (New Jersey) in June 2014, and the songs were recently released on a CD by Red Wall Records. Liz and Seth look forward to the publication of their musical adaptation of the children’s folk tale The Little Red Hen, as an e-book/app by Ever After Tales. Liz, classically trained daughter of Opera Orchestra of New York founder and conductor Eve Queler, has been active as a commercial radio singer, songwriter and backup vocalist; Seth served as music director and conductor of The Soul Doctor, both before and after its move to Broadway in July 2013; Joey made his off-Broadway debut in 2012 in NY Theatre Workshop’s production of the same show.

Please note, this event is not a fundraiser. MEF sponsors all its concerts, and musicians performing in them receive MEF Performance Grants.
