Pianist Elena Klionsky in Concert on January 25 at The Chalfonte in Boca, Raton, Florida

Pianist Elena Klionsky will be in concert on Sunday, January 25 - 4:00 PM at The Chalfonte, 550 South Ocean Boulevard in Boca Raton, Florida. This will be the second concert of Chopin at Chalfont, a new series created and curated by Ms. Klionsky which will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.

The program will be music by Chopin, including his Fantasie-Impromptu; Nocturne no. 8 in D-flat Major; Two Waltzes - no. 7 in c minor and no. 1 in E-flat Major; Three Etudes - Opus 10 no. 12, Opus 25 no. 1 and Opus 25 no. 11 and Scherzo in B-flat minor. The concert will be followed by Polish/French afternoon tea.

A native of St. Petersburg, Russia, Elena Klionsky began playing the piano at age 5 and gave her first public performance at age 6. After moving with her family to the United States, she continued her studies at the Juilliard School, where she earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees and was the recipient of the prestigious Petschek Scholarship.

Klionsky made her first appearance at New York’s Lincoln Center as a high school student. She performed her recital debut in New York to a sold-out audience in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. She made her professional orchestral debut performing before 15,000 people on the same bill as Itzhak Perlman with the Chattanooga Symphony under the baton of Vakhtang Jordania. She has returned to Chattanooga many times to sold-out audiences.

Her solo recitals, orchestral appearances, television and radio performances have taken her across the United States to Canada and Mexico and through Western Europe to Southeast Asia. In Russia, she has performed with leading orchestras including Moscow State Symphony, St. Petersburg Camerata, Ural Philharmonic Orchestra and Russian Federal Orchestra. She has made chamber music tours to Holland, Belgium, Italy and Canada.
