LOS ANGELES, April 7, 2014 After moving performances of A Christmas Carol that culminated in standing ovations in Moscow with the Russian Ballet and Moscow Chamber Orchestra and in Rome at the prestigious auditorium Parco della Musica, Italian composer and conductor Gabriele Ciampi debuts his North American album, The Minimalist Evolution An Ensemble Concert live on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 7:30 pm at The Italian Institute of Culture in Los Angeles. This one-night only performance for special guests features the newest compositions using post-minimalism and classical training. Doors open at 7:00 pm, concert commences at 7:30 pm followed by a cocktail reception at 8:30 p.m.

Mr. Ciampi conducts his Rome-based CentOrchestra for the concert utilizing strings, woodwinds, classical instruments and acoustic guitar. Solo performances include Concertmaster Valentina Cellitti, cellist Livia de Romanis, and pianist Stefania Argentieri, Pianist.

Influenced by classical Russian origins and classical training, Mr. Ciampi writes and conducts his own music and remains true to the classical form while balancing modern influences for a fluid sound. I believe that simplicity overrides complexity with fewer notes that are emotionally more robust, claims Gabriele Ciampi. Music must be written with paper and pencil as opposed to using a computer, reverting to the past to discover new music styles for the future, adds Ciampi. Working with technology impedes my creative process in developing a new style of music, while the old-fashioned way inspires the creative process, concludes Ciampi.

The Minimalist Evolutionperformance is by invitation guest list only and is reserved seating. Seating is limited and reservations are first come. Email events@gabrieleciampi.com to RSVP for the guest list. For more information, please visit www.gabrieleciampi.com or www.iiclosangeles.esteri.it.

The album titled The Minimalist Evolution will be released on June 5, 2014 on www.gabrieleciampi.com, www.Amazon.com, www.iTunes.com, www.CDBaby.com, www.Rhapsody.com and select music stores, and is priced at $ 9.90 US.
