Metropolitan Opera Soprano Carole Farley Masterclass Presented by the New York Chamber Music Festival at the American Opera Center

Acclaimed soprano Carole Farley will again present a masterclass sponsored by the New York Chamber Music Festival, for the 5th consecutive year. Previous masterclasses were held at Symphony Space, but on March 12th it will be held at the American Opera Center, 330 Seventh Avenue from 7 to 10 PM. Admission is free of charge.

GRAMMY nominated Carole Farley made her MET debut in the title role of Alban Berg's Lulu, in the MET's first production of this opera. She has performed it over 100 times in four languages. At the MET Carole Farley also performed the title role in Shostakovich's Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk, and Berg's Wozzeck, Puccini's La Boheme and other roles. She has performed with most of the major opera houses and symphony orchestras in the world in roles ranging from Poppea to Salome. Besides her GRAMMY nominations, Carole Farley has won France's Grand Prix du Disque and many other awards for her numerous recordings and DVDs on DECCA, BIS, Naxos, SONY, Deutsche Gramophone, and many other labels.
Carole Farley's master classes have been held at Yale University, University of Miami, Cleveland Institute of Music, Florida International University, Long Island University and many others.
