Fire Pink Trio Part of University of North Carolina School of the Arts Faculty Benefit 2015 on September 5 in Winston-Salem, NC

The Fire Pink Trio will be in concert, performing Don Davis’s Slam Ahead for flute, viola and harp on Saturday, September 5 at 1:30 PM as part of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts Faculty Benefit 2015, to be presented at Freedman Theatre on the campus of UNCSA, 1533 S. Main Street in Winston-Salem, NC.
The event will benefit the University’s Faculty Endowed Scholarship Fund. It will feature the work—on-stage and behind the scenes—of over 50 current and retired UNCSA faculty from across all five arts schools, the High School Academic Program, and Division of Liberal Arts. Over twenty other acts are on the program—from film screenings, varied musical performances, and contemporary dance pieces, to spoken word and dramatic presentations. The Trio, consisting of Debra Reuter-Pivetta, flutist, Sheila Browne, violist and Jacquelyn Bartlett, harpist, came together in 2008. Each member brings a multitude of accolades including top prizes in international competitions, concerto performances and critically acclaimed recordings. They perform music from Romantic to Contemporary, Latin and Jazz. Fire Pink Trio brings energy, elegance, style and virtuosity to the stage. In addition to recital performances, the Fire Pink Trio offers residencies, master classes, and educational concerts.
