New York Composers Circle Music for Clarinet, Piano and Electronics Concert on October 24 at Manhattan’s DiMenna Center for Classical Music

New York, NY – New York Composers Circle will present Music for Clarinet, Piano and Electronics, a concert of new works by NYCC members on Friday, October 24 at 7:30 PM at PM at Benzaquen Hall of the DiMenna Center for Classical Music, 450 West 37th St. in Manhattan.
The event will feature eight works for piano, clarinet, and electronic sounds, including Max Giteck Duykers’ Theia, scored for bass clarinet and electronics; Jacob E. Goodman’s Six Intermezzi for Piano, inspired by the late piano intermezzi of Brahms; two of Hubert Howe’s Pentachordal Etudes for Piano; Peri Mauer’s Morning, Night and Noon, for two clarinets; and Raoul Pleskow’s Four Piano Pieces for Maestro Hsu. Performers will include clarinetists Vasko Dukovski, Ismail Lumanovski, and Christa Van Alstine, and pianists Jonathan Howe and Craig Ketter.
