Fort Worth Symphony Announces Appointments of New Senior Management

August 25, 2014 | By Jessica Virnoche
FORT WORTH – August 25, 2014 – The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce the appointments of two senior staff members. Tamara Clement joins the FWSO senior management team as Vice President of Marketing. She comes to the FWSO from the Virginia Symphony Orchestra where she served as Director of Marketing from 2009-2014.

Clement’s career in arts management spans nearly two decades, and she has worked with numerous arts organizations across the South. In her previous post, she led the promotional and public relations efforts for the Virginia Symphony. Prior to 2009, she served as Director of Marketing, Sales and Public Relations for the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, and as Associate for Special Projects and Grants and Manager of Box Office and Customer Relations for the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. “I am delighted to be joining the FWSO team as Vice President of Marketing,” states Clement. “I’m looking forward to experiencing all that Fort Worth has to offer along with my husband and two children.”

Erik Finley will begin as Vice President of Artistic Administration on September 15th. Finley joins the FWSO with four years of artistic planning and orchestra operations experience with major orchestras including the Baltimore Symphony and Florida Orchestra. Over the past decade he has held numerous positions and worked under some of the most highly regarded professionals in the fine arts field. As Artistic Operations Director at Florida Orchestra, he was charged with the planning of all classical, pops and special presentation programming. "Erik Finley comes with superb credentials,” states FWSO Music Director, Miguel Harth-Bedoya. "After speaking with him, it became clear he would be a great artistic collaborator"

Finley received a Bachelor of Music in Horn Performance from Boston University and began a Master of Music at Rice University. He and his new bride are relocating to the North Texas area this August, and she will be joining the Dallas Symphony cello section.

“We are very fortunate to have secured two individuals with such a breath of experience in orchestral management, and more importantly, a true passion for symphonic music,” said FWSO President Amy Adkins. “With the addition of these two key members of the senior management team, the FWSO will continue to build momentum in artistic excellence and community engagement.”
