Bandoneonist/Composer Daniel Binelli and Pianist Polly Ferman in Concert on August 23 with Puerto Rico Symphony

Argentinean bandoneonist/composer Daniel Binelli and Uruguayan-American pianist Polly Ferman will be in concert on Saturday, August 23 at 8:00 PM with the Puerto Rico Symphony, Maximiano Valdes, Director, in the Sala Sinfónica Pablo Casals, Piso 2 Parada 22, Ave. Ponce de León in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

This will be the inaugural concert of Festival Interamericano de las Artes. Repertoire will include the World Premiere of the FIA commissioned Contrabando by Daniel Binelli, Robert Sierra’s Symphony No. 3 and Laurence Roman’s Flute Concertino, with soloist Jonathan Figueroa. Daniel Binelli is an internationally renowned master of the bandoneon, acclaimed as the foremost exponent and torchbearer of the music of Astor Piazzolla. As a composer, many international orchestras, ensembles, Tango companies and soloists have commissioned and/or performed his works, including the Zurich Symphony, Edmonton Symphony, Buffalo Philharmonic, Colorado Music Festival, Montevideo Philharmonic, Colombia Symphony, and Buglisi/Foreman Dance Company as well as Osvaldo Pugliese Orquesta Tipica (Argentina) and Tango 7 (Switzerland).
