New York Chamber Players Concerto Competition for Students
NEW YORK CHAMBER PLAYERS ORCHESTRA
4th ANNUAL MUSIC COMPETITION - PATRON Mr. ERIC NEIL KOENIG
PURPOSE: To provide recognition to talented young musicians and an opportunity to perform with the New York Chamber Players Orchestra & Maestro Giacomo Franci on its Young Artists Showcase Concert during their 2014-15 season. (date TBD) www.newyorkchamberplayers.org
ELIGIBILITY: There will be separate divisions for students who are in Middle School or younger, High School Students and College Students.
INSTRUMENTS: piano, strings, woodwinds, brass, and or vocals.
REPERTOIRE: Music should be appropriate for a family concert. No contemporary or pop literature, A classical selection not to exceed 25 minutes of a major solo work for soloist and orchestra. Any one movement.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: CD/DVD’s/YouTube must be submitted to CF Enterprises, LLC @ 73 Fox Meadow Road, Scarsdale, NY 10583 by Friday, May 30, 2014. Finalists will audition for a jury which the President is Maestro Giacomo Franci on Saturday, June 14, 2014.
