Cellist Zuill Bailey is taking on the Mayan prediction that the world will come to an end on 12/21/12 by presenting a special concert in Anchorage, Alaska to "Save the World." The concert, designed "To Give the World a New Musical Lease on Life," will feature Bailey along with violinist Paul Rosenthal and pianist Natasha Paremski on Friday, December 21 at the Discovery Theater of the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts in Anchorage. Proceeds from the concert benefit the Sitka Summer Music Festival which insures that artists like Zuill Bailey and other renowned musicians can visit underserved areas, and provide musical education to all in Alaska. Bailey most recently performed in a special concert with the Women's Strings Orchestra of the Hiland Mountain Correctional Facility in Alaska. Zuill Bailey is the Artistic Director of the Sitka Summer Music Festival. For more information about "Saving the World," go to www.sitkamusicfestival.org.
