American Chamber Ensemble Hanukkah Celebration Concert on December 9

The American Chamber Ensemble will present a special Hanukkah Celebration Concert on Sunday, December 9 - 5:30 PM at Faust Harrison Pianos Recital Hall, 277 Walt Whitman Road (Route 110) in Huntington Station, N.Y.

This program will feature music of Gershwin, Bernstein, Bellison, Weinberg, Rodgers and Hammerstein and others. Performers will be ACE Directors, clarinetist Naomi Drucker and pianists Blanche Abram and Marilyn Lehman. Guest Artists will be Stanley Drucker, clarinet and Karen Lehman DiMartino, soprano.

At the conclusion of the 2008-2009 season, New York Philharmonic Principal Clarinet Stanley Drucker celebrated 60 years as a member of the Orchestra and announced his retirement. He was named Musical America's 1998 Instrumentalist of the Year. He made approximately 190 solo appearances with the Philharmonic since joining it at age 19. The Philharmonic estimates that he performed in 10,200 concerts, which is approximately 70% of the total number of their concerts since 1842, and performed in 60 countries on tour.
