Chambers Players International Presents the 2012 Long Island Mozart Festival

The Long Island Mozart Festival will present its 2012 festival and concerts on Saturday, May 26, Sunday, May 27 and Monday, May 28 at Old Westbury Gardens, 71 Old Westbury Road in Old Westbury, New York.
The festival features performances of the music of Mozart and other classical masters by an international array of artists, as well as Debbie Surowicz award-winning program Mozart for Children on the 26th starting at 11:30 AM, an instrument making crafts table, music in nature programs, a musical petting Zoo and tours of Old Westbury Gardens.
The May 26 at 2:30 PM Mainstage concert will feature Grammy-nominated violinist Anastasia Khitruk performing Mozart and Beethoven Sonatas for Violin and Piano with pianist Elena Baksht.
The May 27 Mainstage concerts will be given at 1:30 and 4:00 PM. Performers will be the World Youth Association Chamber Orchestra, with pianist Philip Edward Fisher. Works to be performed on these concerts include Mozart’s Divertimento in F Major, Divertimento in D Major, KV 136 and Piano Concerto No. 27, KV 595 in Bb, along with J.S. Tent seats for the May 26, 27 and 28 Mainstage concerts are $25 for all ages. Lawn seating is $10 for general, $8 for seniors (over 62) and children $5 (7-17), and 6 and under are free. Prices include the main stage concert and all ancillary activities for that day. Tickets can be purchased at Old Westbury Gardens on each festival day. Festival parking is free. Internationally renowned violinist Anastasia Khitruk was nominated for a 2007 Grammy Award for her CD of Miklos Rozsa’s Violin Concerto, Op. 24 for the Naxos label. She has appeared in concert and recital worldwide, including many performances in Boston, Los Angeles, New York, Aspen, London, Geneva, Adelaide, Sofia, Paris, and Moscow.
