They totaled 14\u00bc, a lavish allocation by the heavily branded maestro given his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.musicalamerica.com\/mablogs\/?p=17195\">skimpy work in Poland and Russia the same week<\/a>, to wit:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Dec. 11, 2013 \u2014 day of \u201cunexpected circumstances\u201d<br \/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Dec. 12, 2013 \u2014 Warsaw: sole local Gergiev rehearsal for <em>Iolanta<\/em> and <em>A k\u00e9kszak\u00e1ll\u00fa herceg v\u00e1ra<\/em>, postponed by a day<br \/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Dec. 13, 2013 \u2014 Warsaw: opening night of Tchaikovsky-Bart\u00f3k double bill<br \/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Dec. 14, 2013 \u2014 flight to St Petersburg; evening: Verdi Requiem<br \/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Dec. 15, 2013 \u2014 St Petersburg: <em>La traviata<\/em><br \/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Dec. 16, 2013 \u2014 flight to Munich; late afternoon: 5\u00be hours rehearsing Stravinsky<br \/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Dec. 17, 2013 \u2014 morning: 6 hours of rehearsals; afternoon: news conference about pedophilia, Putin, and so on<br \/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Dec. 18, 2013 \u2014 morning: 2\u00bd hours of rehearsals; evening: Stravinsky concert<\/p>\n<p>The rehearsal details, a response to a question last year, arrived after a vague outline from the orchestra of its <a href=\"http:\/\/www.musicalamerica.com\/mablogs\/?p=24262\">quantitative expectations<\/a> of Gergiev.
