The ASCAP Foundation Michael Masser Scholarship
The late Michael Masser, composer/producer of such classic songs as “The Greatest Love of All” and “Saving All My Love For You,” established this scholarship to support the educational advancement, professional development, professional training and development of a student demonstrating outstanding talent in the arts. The recipient is selected by a panel of music industry executives.
The ASCAP Foundation Joan & Irwin Robinson Scholarship
Irwin Z. Robinson, vice president, industry affairs for the Richmond organization and vice president of The ASCAP Foundation, along with his wife Joan established this scholarship to support a music business undergraduate or graduate student demonstrating leadership, knowledge, dedication, skill and career potential. The scholarship recipient is selected by faculty from New York University.
Gordon Hay Scholarship
The $5,000 Gordon Hay Scholarship is a merit-based award for an extraordinary graduating high school senior who is planning to pursue a non-performing career within the performing arts field and demonstrates a personal drive for excellence, scholarly accomplishment, and community engagement.
Goucher College Arts Administration Scholarships
Goucher College’s graduate programs have a number of scholarship opportunities available based on vision and experience. The number of new scholarships may vary each semester depending on the availability of funds. Merit scholarships are available at program directors discretion. Admission applications can include your scholarship essay with initial submission. Essays MUST be received by the scholarship deadline. Scholarship essays may be submitted along with other application documents via Slideroom or via email to graduateprograms@goucher.edu.
Sigma Alpha Iota Arts Management Summer Internship at the Kennedy Center
This internship is available for a member of Sigma Alpha Iota at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, in arts management during the summer months. The Intern will receive a stipend of $2,400 to help defray living costs in Washington. It will be the Intern’s responsibility to provide her own transportation to and from Washington, and her housing and meals during the period of the Internship (the Kennedy Center will assist Interns in finding reasonably priced housing). There will be no additional financial support from Sigma Alpha Iota Philanthropies, Inc.
Sigma Alpha Iota Music Business/Technology Scholarship
This scholarship is offered in memory of Dorothy Cooke Whinery to a member of SAI who is enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in the field of Music Business or Music Technology. The degree emphasis may also include Music Marketing, Music Business Administration, Entertainment Industry, Commercial Music, Music Management, Recording Industry or other related fields. One scholarship for $2,000 will be awarded. Scholarships will be applied directly to recipient’s tuition for program/school.
