I remember it because it is on the Met player, Bartoli, Hadley, Croft, Vaness, Mentzner, and Allen.  It was at least initially difficult to get through, and I think because &quot;the production never seemed to have much point of view.&quot; However, after a few tries, It grew on me and I became especially fond of Jerry Hadley.  Not having a point of view really affected the actors momentum, perhaps, because there didn&#039;t seem to be much of it.  But you are right, it is a very dignified production, nothing like what is currently going on as described in the current production.</description>
