I would also add to this, from the publicity perspective, that magazines, newspapers, websites and even radio stations are more likely to give an artist extra real estate on their pages (both virtual and literal), when photos are especially striking, evocative or unusual. So, flip through magazines and look at websites of artists&#039; (from any field) whom you admire and note some of your favorite looks.  Put together a virtual &quot;look book&quot; to share with your photographer to convey the imaging you desire.  Also, because artist photography can be a significant investment, I would suggest getting several different &quot;looks&quot; and setting aside some to use for later seasons, future recording projects, or to offer as exclusives to media outlets (which, again, can help with that coveted &quot;real estate&quot;).
