		<description>Thank you for this column.  I didn&#039;t know of Omus&#039; passing away and it saddens me to think of him having Alzheimer&#039;s .  He was a good colleague, exchanging views and ideas.  His words quoted have meaning today.  In the 1960&#039;s Mr. Colbert showed me the minutes of the Friends of Music at Town Hall from the 1930&#039;s...same problems in the &#039;60&#039;s...same problems in the &#039;90&#039;s.  Somehow we survive.  My &quot;concert party&quot; series began in the &#039;60&#039;s and continued underground for more than 20 years.  People will find a way, just as the Friends of Music did in the &#039;30&#039;s.  Thanks to people like Omus and now James Conlon and many others who make us think and take stock.</description>
