Repast Baroque Ensemble Presents François Couperin and Friends Concerts on October 20 in Brooklyn and October 21 in Manhattan

New York, NY – Repast Baroque Ensemble will be in concert on Friday, October 20 and Saturday, October 21 - 8:00 PM both days, performing François Couperin and Friends, October 20 at McKinney Chapel, First Unitarian Church, 119 Pierrepont Street, Brooklyn Heights and October 21 at Advent Lutheran Church, 2504 Broadway at 93rd St. in Manhattan.

Repast celebrates the artistry and humor of François Couperin and other French baroque composer such as Marais, Leclair and Jacquet de la Guerre. Guests artists are Hélène Plouffe on violin, Arnie Tanimoto and Sarah Stone on viola da gamba. along with Repast members Amelia Roosevelt, violin and Gabe Shuford, harpsichord.

Founded in 2003 in New York City, Repast has performed as part of Miller Theatre’s Bach and the Baroque series and at the Getty Center in Los Angeles; Bargemusic; the Miami Bach Society; the Minneapolis Institute of Arts; Peak Performances, and many other venues. Baruch Performing Arts Center presented Repast in an annual three-concert series from 2004–2016. In 2015 Repast added a new concert venue in Brooklyn Heights, and in 2016 began to perform at Advent Lutheran Church on the Upper West Side. Repast and has been featured on WKCR and Vermont Public radio, and its CD is aired frequently on radio stations nationally. Visit them at http://www.repastbaroque.org/.
